Riverdale Lumberkjack Baseball Established 1956
Baseball was established at Lumberjack Park in 1956. At that time the team was known as Riverdale then Riverdale Tavern. The present organization changed the name to Riverdale Lumberjacks in mid 1990. The Lumberjacks are the only remaining team from the original Gratiot County Baseball League. In the early years the GCBL consisted only of teams within Gratiot County. As numbers declined the league has expanded to include teams in the mid-Michigan area.
2006 marked our 50th anniverary of baseball at Lumberjack Park.
